Terms and Conditions      

The booking referred to above is valid only upon deposit of 20% by the specified date and executions of these terms

and conditions.

 

Confirmation of Booking

All tentative bookings made will automatically lapse after a fourteen working day period.

A 20% deposit of estimated costs and this signed booking sheet returned is required to secure the reservation.

This deposit is exclusive of a $500 security bond.

 

Cancellation

We would be disappointed if the function was to be cancelled, however we realise circumstances occasionally make this necessary.  Should your function be cancelled 30 days prior to your function – full deposit will be refunded.  Less than 30 days prior to your function – room hire fee will be retained by the hotel unless the date can be sold to

another group.

 

Payment

Amex and Diners card payments will incur a 3% transaction fee.

All outstanding amounts must be finalised at the completion of the function.

 

Prices and Confirmation of Numbers

Re-confirmation of the number of guests attending and all final details are required seven (7) days in advance of the  function.  This confirmation will be reflected as a minimum charge for your function regardless of the amount of guests attending.  In the instance of numbers increasing Knox Tavern does not guarantee being able to cater for an increase in numbers from the original amount unless 72 hours (3 days) notice in advance in given.

 

Children

The client shall be aware that Knox Tavern will not be responsible for the behaviour and safety of children.

All children must be kept under constant supervision and control in the function room at all times.

 

Menu

Due to seasonal availability the menu may change, therefore certain items may be exchanged for a comparable dish where necessary.

 

Dietary Requirements

Any specific dietary requirements need to be advised seven days prior to the function.

 

Function Times and Fees

The client is responsible to comply with the agreed time of hire.  Functions at the Knox Tavern are based on a five-hour time period, exceptions being seminar style functions, with times previously agreed with by Management. Extension times are subject to additional fees & labour charges.

 

Entertainment

We are happy to assist in the arrangement of entertainment to suit your requirements or you may organise your own entertainment, providing they contact the Functions Manager prior to the date of the function and work within the set up & breakdown times.

DJ and entertainers must set-up before 5.30pm.

 

Smoking

The function facilities at the Knox Tavern will be smoke free; however, smoking is permitted in the courtyard outside the Function Room. 

 

Personal Belongings

Our staff will take care of your needs and will endeavour to look after your belongings; however, we cannot take responsibility for the damage or the loss of items, before, during or after the function.

 

Responsible Service of Alcohol

We are committed to the guidelines of Responsible Service of Alcohol.  House policy dictates that we encourage alcoholic consumption in moderation and by law will refuse to serve alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 18 years, or have incorrect or insufficient age identification, and to any person/s that seem to be intoxicated.  Offensive behaviour will not be tolerated at any time during a function on the hotel premises.

 

Preventing Damage

Although accidents occasionally occur, you are responsible for damage caused by your guests, agents, contractors etc. prior, during and/or after the function.  Depending on the scope of damage, repair or replacement charges may be passed onto the client. 

  

Signage

Nothing is to be nailed, screwed or adhered to any wall, door or other surface or part of the building.  Signage must be approved by Management and must be kept to a minimum unless otherwise arranged.

 

Responsibility to Inform

It is your responsibility to inform your guests, agents, contractors etc of these terms and conditions.

 

Food & Beverage

The Knox Tavern will provide all food, beverage and services for your function.  Function clients are to ensure that guests do not bring in or consume any food or beverage from any source other than that provided by the Knox Tavern.

 

Designated Areas

Whilst the Knox Tavern encourages its patrons to make full use of all its facilities, we would like to encourage the clients to remain close to their designated function areas during the times of their function.  Other areas of the Hotel reserve the right on non-admittance.

 

License, Security and Permit Obligations

Knox Tavern reserves the right to exclude or eject guests from the function or the premises without refund to the client as per our liquor licensing obligations.
